2. Eligibility
Participation is open to schools in the United Kingdom and the Philippines. Schools must submit accurate information via the provided collaboration form. Submissions must align with the themes and objectives outlined in the project description.

3. Selection Process
Participation in the project is not guaranteed for all applicants. The selection of schools is entirely at the discretion of Mango and Marmalade Stories Ltd. Selection will be driven by the developmental plot and narrative requirements of Mango and Marmalade Stories. Submissions must fit the storyline and creative direction. We reserve the right to prioritize submissions that best align with the project’s goals and themes.

4. Project Timeline
Once selected, the collaboration process may take up to one year from the time of selection to the final publication of the book. The timeline includes phases such as creative development, content refinement, production, and publishing. We will keep the selected schools updated throughout the process but cannot guarantee fixed deadlines for publication.

5. Contributions
Schools agree to provide accurate and original content, including but not limited to: information about traditions, food, sports, landmarks, and student stories or artwork; uploaded materials (photos, illustrations, documents) for potential inclusion in published works. Schools must ensure that submitted content does not infringe on intellectual property rights or violate any laws.

6. Media Permissions and Usage
By participating, schools grant Mango and Marmalade Stories Ltd. the right to use submitted materials in print, audio, video, and digital formats. Submissions may be featured in Mango and Marmalade Stories and related publications, promotional materials, or media campaigns. Proper credit will be given to the school and student contributors wherever feasible.

7. Royalties and Benefits
Selected schools will receive print copies of all published and future releases of Mango and Marmalade Stories, including audio and video book formats. Schools co-creating books with Us will share in royalties under terms to be mutually agreed upon prior to publication.

8. School Visits
School visits may be arranged to engage students, gather content, or collaborate directly. Schools must notify Us in advance of any requirements for the visit, including but not limited to: DBS Checks (Disclosure and Barring Service) or equivalent background checks; Safeguarding Policies and specific procedures to follow during the visit; any additional guidelines or requirements related to student safety and wellbeing. We will make every effort to comply with the school’s requirements, provided they are communicated with sufficient notice. In the event that requirements cannot be met, alternative collaboration methods (e.g., virtual meetings) may be considered.

9. Student Participation
The project is open to students aged primary school to 16 years old. Younger students can contribute by creating artwork related to their community (e.g., drawings of local traditions, landmarks, or foods), sharing stories or ideas with the help of their parents or guardians, and providing personal anecdotes or experiences through guided activities. Older students can contribute by writing essays, poems, or narratives about their community, traditions, or history, collaborating on group projects such as creative writing or cultural presentations, and assisting younger students with their submissions. Schools must ensure that all submissions from students are voluntary, age-appropriate, and respectful of the project’s themes.

10. Quality Control and Disqualification
Submissions found to be plagiarised, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate will be disqualified. As part of the quality control process, submissions will undergo checks for plagiarism and AI-generated content to ensure authenticity and originality. Schools must ensure that all submitted materials are created by their students and staff or have proper attribution where applicable. Failure to adhere to these terms may result in disqualification from the project.

11. Privacy and Data Protection
Personal information collected through the collaboration form will be used solely for this project. Mango and Marmalade Stories Ltd. will not share personal data with third parties without prior consent.

12. Limitation of Liability
Mango and Marmalade Stories Ltd. is not liable for any damages, losses, or disputes arising from participation in the project. Schools are responsible for ensuring their submissions comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

13. Agreement to Terms
By submitting an application, the participating school acknowledges and agrees to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
